The TTC Timeline

Making a baby isn’t as simple as “Just Add Water”. Our steps are below. This list will be updated as things progress.

May 2012 – We’ve known for a long time that we want to raise a family. This is the date that Jade and I decided to pursue our dream.

March 18, 2013 – Initial Consultation with Dr. M.

March 25, 2013 – Second initial consultation with a (different) Reproductive Endocrinologist to compare the program details between this practice and the first practice.

April 1, 2013 – Follow up appointment with Dr. M to go over blood test and ultrasound results and to discuss the timeline and protocols for intrauterine insemination using donor sperm.

April 1, 2013 – Received test results from Dr. M. Blood work looked amazingly great. Stopped taking birth control pills. Prescribed 5mg of Letrozole (Femara) for cycle days 2-6. Instructed to monitor LH surge via home digital ovulation prediction kit beginning on day 10. Insemination will be scheduled for the morning following the LH surge.

April 4, 2013 – Let Attempt #1 begin! This is CD 1. Unfortunately, this cycle was an epic fail as my body refused to ovulate and home monitoring is unreliable for me. See this post.
